AK2000i install problem

I am having a problem getting my ADLM to install. If I understand what I
have read on both the newsgroup and the installation guide I should get a
license code of 160 for Acad 2000i. We are on the VIP program and I have
tried to install the new ADLM manager. I don't get it to give me the
license code. It does change my server code in the ADLM manager, but no
AK2000i. Do I need to get a new key for this install? I thought that I did
not, but I could be wrong. If that is all then I will just call in.

WinNT 4.0 SP6 server

Thanks,

Hi Paul,

If you are already running ADLM, you just need to get a server code for the 160
license. Then you need to call in to get it authorized.

Hope this helps.

Bud

Do we need to install the ADLM from the CD or will the ADLM from the AutoCAD
2000 CD work?
By getting a server code for the 160 license and authorizing it, am I
killing off the 150 licenses I have?

Not if you are remaining legal with your authorizations (grin). The feature
code is changed from 2000 to 2000i so they should function together on any
given AdLM server.

Hi Steve,

If you already have ADLM installed you don't need to do anything with the
installer. What you need to do is get your server code to the Autodesk
Authorization group. They can create a 160 license for you.

As far s your 150 license go, that depends on what your AutoCAD 2000i is. If
they are upgrades, then they need to replace your AutoCAD 2000 license. If they
are NEW seats, then you just need to add the 160 licenses.

Let us know if you need any more information on this one.

Thanks

Bud
