We have a rather strange problem, loading of the license manager fails if run from anywhere within the AUTOEXEC.NCF file, but loads without a problem from the console prompt.
Does anyone have an idea what can be done to get the license manager to load from AUTOEXEC.NCF?

I don't know exactly because we changed our ADLM to W2k two years ago.
But try to add a delay time in the AUTOEXEC.NCF before loading the ADLM.
I think it should look like this:
# Loading of ADLM with delaytime of 4 seconds before and after loading
load dvdelay 4
load adskelmd -e \adlm\key -1 \adlm\log\adlm.log -s -60
load dvdelay 4
