Activation Issue

I recieved my key to and downloaded AutoCAD 2012 student software to my computer (running Windows XP SP3, by the way), and the installation went fine, but when started, on the first screen that appears, offering the 30-day trial or activation, the latter of these two options does not seem to work properly. When clicked, it takes me to the license agreement screen, I check the box to affirm my agreement and click continue, but upon doing so, all I recieve is a dialog box that is empty aside from two selection circles (shown below).
