Acad 2011 - license issue

Hello,
I tried upgrading from Acad Electrical 2010 to 2011 by downloading from the Autodesk Subscription website and running the setup, which seemed to complete without any errors. I selected the "Install Products - perform a standard installation on this workstation".

Now, when I try to start 2011, it says "A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager. Error [0.0.0]", and immediately shuts down.

When I installed it, I didn't have the serial number or the product key handy, so I selected the option for a time-limited trial version, with the hope of entering this information later.

I am running a network license, where the server and only client now are on the same computer, running (32 bit) Windows XP. I did select "network license" during installation. I have since used the setup program to upgrade LMTools to v11.7.0.0, but this seemed to have no effect. In the meantime, I am currently able to run Acad Elec. 2010 without any problems.

Thanks

Did you get a new network license file for the 2011 version?

That was it. I got the new .lic file from the "License Registration and Activation Assistance Form" at http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=12664796, configured lmtools to use the new file, and now I'm up & running. Thanks.

I tried that first but it only listed AutoCad Electrical 2010 under "Product" - it did not seem to allow me to select 2011, so I didn't submit the registration request from that site.

I'm also getting the same error message (error 0.0.0) on my 2 workstations which has a network license. I've check the date & time, perform status inquiry, latest LM tools installed on the server, also tried to turn off the firewall before clicking the ACAD 2011 icon on the workstation desktop but still unsuccessful and still getting the same message. I'm just wondering if there is somebody out there to share some ideas and experience how to resolved this problem in different way. Thanks.
