When i click download now it open the dowload manager, which then opens an error message

The download does not appear on screen (in the manager) at all before te messagebox is shown.

Does anybody know what is happening?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I would suggest to download Revit 2013 via Autodesk virtual agent interface:

  1. Go to http://www.autodesk.com.
  2. At the bottom of the page, beneath "Help and Support," click "Customer Service."
  3. Click the "Ask" button.
  4. In the Virtual Agent window, click "Download Links."
  5. Click on “3ds Max Products”  and then “Autodesk 3ds Max
  6. Click the appropriate product to start downloading.

Then follow general installation steps we posted on our Up and Ready blog, click here.

FYI, here is the link to the post on our Up and Ready blog regarding different methods of downloading Autodesk Software.
