I'm installing the student version 2014, and this always pops up,i have assignments coming up and i really need this. I had the same problem when i tried instaling 2012 and 2013 version. I tried deleting the redistrebutable files from microsoft, switching off the untivirus, my windows is up to date, i also tried installing the nromal 3d max,but nothing(the only difference is that sometimes i get a 1603 error instead) i dont know what else to do:( But my Autocad 2011 works fine though and didnt have any problems.

I've attached my results.

Installing .NET Framework Runtime 4.0 KB2468871

It's failing on the .NET 4.0. You might have to remove it and reinstall it completely. Or use the .NET Cleanup.
