3ds Max 2015 setup.exe stops at initialzation

Dear all,

I have successfully downloaded  3DSMAX 2015 (Desktop subscription license) on my hard disk.

When launching setup.exe from my hard drive C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_3ds_Max_2015_EFGJKS_Win_64bit_R2_dlm\setup.exe, a page showing Autodesk 3dsmax 2015 opens and starts initializing then stops without any error message.

The log message is the following:

I use Windows 7, have .NET 4.0, have stopped Norton 360, started setup.exe as administrator.

Any help please?

Are there any other log files you can attach?  What operating system are you installing on?

I use Windows 7 French version.

What kind of other log file do you mean please?

I attach 3 log files:

1) 3dsMax_2015_Setup.log

2) AutodeskDownloadManager

3) Autodesk_Showcase_2014

Reboot your computer and try the install again.

Do the following as well.

If you are running a free AV, I would uninstal it.

Dear David,

I tried it to the same result.

I am the administrator on my PC an HP Pavilion dv6 with an intel i7,

I deleted %TEMP%,

I silenced NORTON 360, disabled the firewall and antivirus, (I don't have a free AV),

I disabled the User Account Control (UAC) and

I launched again setup.exe which started initializing then stopped.

Can you create a new account that doesn't have any accents or spaces in it.  Make sure account is Admin and try the install again.
