3ds max 2012 Installation Problem

I am trying to install autodesk 3d max but keep getting an installation error. It worked on windows 7 and windows 8 trail but upgraded to windows 8 a month ago and it will not install now, i have deleted all the files and folders linked to autodesk and uninstalled and reinstalled mincrosoft visual  Redistributable but it still gets stuck on that.

Hi Liam and welcome to the community!,

You want to delete the C++ Redistributable and then install the software, as it the Autodesk installer will reinstall it for you, or if it doesn't, you can always get it from Microsoft or a Windows Update after the fact.
