3ds Max 2012 -- Corrupted files

Alright, so i've downloaded the self-extrator exe file i don't know how many times, and each times, some files are corrupted in it.

It's always common~1.cab that corrupts. I've even tried downloading it on a different computer, that uses a different browser (i use firefox and this computer uses Internet Explorer), and same thing happened: CRC errors pops up while extracting the install files.

Also, both computers uses Windows 7.

Anyway, i hope you'll be able to help me, cause i really don't know what to do now to download the self-extractor exe file without it corrupting the files in it.

I too have had the same issue I'm on a windows 7 64 bit machine home edition.

CRC failed in x64\max\aecbdbx.cab

CRC failed in Content\ADSKMaterials\2012\ILM\Common~1.cab

CRC failed in x64\max\max1.cab

CRC failed in x86\max\max2.cab

CRC failed in x86\Composite\runtime.cab

CRC failed in SetupRes\3dsMax.png

CRC failed in en-US\SetupRes\Infotainment\Images\3dsMax1.png

The cabs I can see being corruptable but the pngs? Anyone know any answers here I too have downloaded the exe like 4 times

Hello Criss1180:

One thing to try would be to disable all Antivirus on your machines, turn off all AV services, shut down any Spy/Malware programs, download a fresh copy of 3ds Max and unpack it.

I'm getting the same problem as the earlier posters on a Win7 64-bit environment. A number of files get corrupted during unpacking. I tried unpacking on a Win7 32-bit environment, and all went well. I would copy the unpacked files to the 64-bit environment and see if that would install properly.

I will disable everything but it's getting annoying already...

Glitches like these should be mentioned from start !

I hope this time will work,if not I am giving up.
