3ds Max 2010 will not install

After re-imaging my harddrive, I have had to re-install all my programs onto my laptop. The others have re-installed without problem, but 3ds Max 2010 is being stubborn. It gets through the installation of DirectX, and then starts the 3ds Max installation. It gets up through 'creating shortcuts' and the 'writing system registry values,' and then it flashes up something about 'creating new' something, and then starts rolling back.

Any suggestions?

Can you post Screen Shots and Log files to this thread? You can find the log files by:

1. Open Windows Explorer.

2. Type %temp% in the address bar, then press enter.

3. Look for files with names like:

• 3ds Max 2010 Setup.log
• Max32Install.log
• Max64Install.log
