I have an issue with running Max 2011 on my windows 7 laptop. I am running direct x 11 and yet Max 2011 cant handle it. It keeps coming back with the error missing directx 9 .dll file. Its the main file that runs direct x. How can i fix this?
I read somewhere that i must have 9 installed otherwise max will never run is this correct?
How crazy is it that Max cant run on direct x 11 .....this is pure madness...... No such thing as backward compatible direct x 11 to earlier versions of direct x.
So does version 10 of direct x work with win 7 and max? Or do i have resort in going all the back to installing 9c of direct x to make this crazy program work?
