2016 - no mentalray installed with maya 2016?

I just installed Adesk Entertainment suite 2016

but it seems mentalray is not installed, so I only have maya sw and hw renderer...?

I've found mentalray installer in 'Download other Autodesk software product(s)' section on the bottom of my account Products & Services page.

Also this:

Enable mental ray scene rendering on a computer where Maya is installed.

The Maya installation directory contains an installer for mental ray renderer. This version of mental ray is used only for local rendering on the same computer as Maya.

To run mental ray locally

1. Install mental ray renderer, using the installer.
2. In Maya, select Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager.
3. In Plug-in Manager, set Mayatomr.mll to Autoload.

After the Mayatomr.mll plug-in is enabled, and Maya restarted, mental ray appears on the Maya submenu Render > Render using.

It didn't work for me until I did this.

I installed Mental Ray on my Mac and got the "successful" message. However, I don't see it in my Plug-In Manager like I did in 2015.

Got it figured out. I had mentalray_satellite installed and not mental_ray plug-in like I should have done.

I believe this link would be more helpful if you have a Mac on Extension 2. But other OS's are also included.
