2010 not opening. any ideas ?

today revit 2010 & 2009 decided to not open. clicking the local project copies, shortcuts to 2009 & 2010 AND going directly to .exe file in programs yields same results ... bgins to ope, revit logo shows on desktop for a few seconds, then disappears (all normal actions to this point) then nothing. no further progression toward opening application.

i have rebooted & completely shut down my workstation twice with no improvement.

tried to reinstall 2010 from discs, but will not allow as indicates "newer version already installed". perhaps i installed a srvice pack via download.

any suggestions ?

Please try the following

delete

in XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\AdLM\cascadeinfo.cas

win7/vista

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm\cascadeinfo.cas

or

->Please try to login as a different user

->Please try to repair the installation.
