2006 with a 2008 license?

I have 4 network licenses of 2006. Now I need 4 more, of course they will be 2008 licenses. Is there a way I can set it up so I can keep everyone on 2006 and have it use the new 2008 licenses?

I don't believe this is possible. Each version of the software request their
particular license.
Obviously if you expect to continue use 2006 you must get licenses valid for
2006.

If you are on subscription you can get it to work by requesting a license
for 8 2006.
If not you are out of luck.

Autodesk really isn't even supporting this option anymore. Subscription will allow you to keep using your older versions, but they will not add additional new licenses and give you the total balance for the old ones anymore like they used to. At least not without some kicking and screaming.
