Maya will not install

Hi,

Am having trouble installing Autodesk Maya (student registration). We had a working version installed on our Windows 8 computer last year but had to 'reset' the computer due to performance issues and other problems. Now Maya will not install. Have cleared temp folder, installed with local admin rights, turned off UAC off and antivirus but it still fails. Here is the installation log. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Have a search for solutions to 1603 and 1619 errors. They are related to dependancies that the installer is keyed to install; in later model computers these dependancies are already installed as newer versions. Since an older version cannot be installed over a newer version, the installer stops.
