Been trying to find out of there is an OSX specific Maya plugin to allow for Valve models (.smd) to be imported and viewed correctly. I've seen some robust tools for Windows users, but I have yet to find out if there is any port for those of us running Maya on Macs (or if there is a simple work around for it).
