Maya 2014 installation problem

I've downloaded the student version of Maya 2014 without problems. But when I try to install it it freezes on Directx Runtime installation step. The overall progress stops on 4 of 5 remaining. Help please. What's going on? My laptop is an ASUS Republic of Gamers I7 with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 670M 3GB. Thanks.

Welcome to the Community. Installation does take some time to process and finish, in most cases the installation is still proceeding although it looks as though it is stuck. In any case, is the installation still responding or has it froze? Give it some time and see if it completes the installation. If not, let us know so we could check.

I've already given more than 10 minutes of waiting. I think the installation froze. What can I do to fix this? Thanks.
