I'm having a similar problem....When I try to run Maya, it shows the loading screen and it gets all the way to loading "Time Slider" and then this fatal error notification pops up and basically Maya crashes....I've tried literally everything on the internet that I can find to try and get this to go away, but nothing's worked!! The only other thing I saw was disabling "overlay" but I don't know what that is or where to find those settings..help please!

My computer info:
Windows Vista
Toshiba Satellite A215-S7425
Video Card: ATI Radeon x1200

- need any other info?

I have done all of the following with no luck:

1. Reinstalled Maya
2. Disabled triple buffering
3. De-selected "use application settings" on Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering; they are each set to 2X
4. Disabled Catalyst A.I.

ANY IDEAS????

Does it have anything to do with the fact that its the Trial version?

Here's the crash log....
