HELP!!! Student Panicking!!! Maya 2014 ERROR 20

I swear Maya hates me. It was working earlier today... and then right before class I get "Error 20".

"License Problem in GUI Mode. Launch Dialog Message."

"License was not obtained

Tried Maya 2014 (657F1 2014.0.0F), Error 20

License Method: Environment Variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD_'STANDALONE'

Product Choice: Environment Variable MAYA_LICENSE='UNLIMITED'

License File Override: Environment Variable MAYA_ALT_EN is not set."

I have an ASUS. Windows 8.1

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB

System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

I tried reinstalling but I still ended up getting the same error message. Could somebody please help me? I can't afford to fail college because of this...

3D Max and Mudbox 2014 load up correctly... it's just Maya that is not being user friendly to me anymore
