Computer Hardware for 3ds Max

Greetings,

I was hoping to find a 2-in-1 laptop to run 3ds Max.  I was looking at this one here: Lenovo Edge 2 from Best Buy.

Will the graphics card be strong enough to run it?  Or should I go with a gaming laptop instead?  My old laptop had 3ds Max 2010 on it. Unfortunately, my old laptop caught fire because the fans failed, so that is why I am asking for any advice as to what I should get to run the software, whether it's 3ds Max 2010 or one of the newest versions.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I would recommend a better card, especially renderings and large datasets. The card with the machine may open max models but the quality will probably degrade during the session. Look at the following list of supported cards.

Hi,

I would recommend you go for Dell Precision 7710 or Lenovo Mobile Workstation P50 or P70 Model. These are best in class with great performance easy customization and good cooling.

I hope it helps.
