Changing Maya default save location?

Hello,

I have Maya 2015 installed on my C drive which is running out of space so whenever I install a program I make sure it saves all my files as default to my second drive E.

Is there a way to change the default Maya save location to my second drive. Maya has created a Maya folder on my C drive (in my documents folder) is there a way to move this to my E drive?

Thanks,
Dimitrios

Go to File / Project Window ,press "New"
set a Current Project name , maybe "My_default" or any you want
also set a location ,maybe "e:\maya" , click Accept
then go to File / set Project

set it to "e:\maya\My_default"

Now ,you can check the folder

It would create a lot of folders in it

assets, images, scripts, scenes, etc....done

This solution with change the default location. If you need make a new project look at solution above.

Continuing....

Go to Windows>>Settings/Preferences>>Preferences

Below the "Settings" tab >> go to "File/Projects" >>"Project Settings" will be at the top >> "Default Projects Directory"
