Cannot view Essential skills movies

After installing the license for Maya 2009 I attempted to view the essential skills movies but the following message appeared at the bottom "// Error: cannot find movie file: MayaNavigationMovie. See script editor for details""

From the script editor I am none the wiser

I did not have a previous version of Maya on my machine although I tried to install a temporary license supplied by the reseller while I was waiting for Maya 2009 to ship. The installation was not successful though.

Is this problem someone could help me to fix ?

hi there, I am also having this problem and the videos worked fine the first time I opened my software, I am contemplaing reinstalling Maya but I would really like to know (if anyone knows) why I keep getting the message. // Error: Cannot find movie file: MayaNavigationMovie. See Script Editor for details. please, somebody help us 🙂 thanks.

ok, I just reinstalled but after I reinstalled it still happened with my Maya that I had on my Mac desktop, but it worked with my main maya program that was still in my download folder, I think you have to run the program in the same folder with the movie files so it can read it there.
