unfortunately the road grading functionality in the current release is very basic and therefore it is not possible to grade one side of the road only or have different grading for both road sides.
The best suggestion is to use Civil 3D to create a corridor and export/import it as IMX file as corridor surface with the desired grading/daylight.
Regarding to splitting design road this is on the implementation list for future releases as well.
