Railway

Hi,

I use Civil 3D and design a double railway.

I exported the design to infraWorks as imx model file.

In  infraWorks I imported the imx model. The model style is automatically set to roads and can not be changed.

Therefor, instead of a nice rail I get a nice highway.

Is there a way to import the model and to change it to railway style?

Thanks.

In the Configure dialog box, set it to Railways under the Style Rules.

I wish it was that easy...

When I tried to change the style it only allows me to select from roads.

Ok.  I just tried doing what you are doing and I am getting the same result.  That's a bummer.  One method you can try is to export the centerline of your railway out to a .shp file.  Then you can bring it in as a railroad.
