Picture in Picture birdseye of Infraworks Flyover

I have several storyboards of flyovers of my site.  That looks good enough for now.  Now the client has asked if I can provide a birdseye view in the corner showing the plan view position of the camera as the video plays.  The only idea I have thought of so far is getting the coordinates and time of the camera position every 3 sec or so then creating a separate video plotting that info on top of a plan view. I'll produced the PIP using Camtasia.  Any suggestions on a better way to capture the camera positions and time automatically?
