Importing a water area

Hi,

Im using civil 3d 2014 to create ponds, which i need to display in infraworks wit hwater inside them. So i exported the ponds to infraworks as an .imx file, but when i try and import the surface for the water level infraworks wont let me apply a style to the imported surface. Both surfaces are being imported as a imx.

Export it out of Civil as a .shp file (MAPEXPORT).

Hi,

the water area cannot be imported as surface. As mentioned by Todd it needs to be a format that can be imported as coverage, so shape is a good solution.

Regards,
Karsten.
