How to reset view to home in 2015?

This 2015 is driving me nuts. It is so hard to find anything.

I make a bookmark so I can always find my way home.

You'll get used to the new UI. I don't know if it's better or worse, but it is different.

right, but adapting to something that is harder to use is a downgrade.

For instance, where are the Bookmarks in new UI?

This is so bad, I cannot even figure out the known workarounds...

When you hover over the ViewCube, a "House" icon will appear to the top-right and that is the "Home" view button:

ViewCube-Home

If by chance you've turned off the ViewCube display, go to Application Options > View and toggle the ViewCube display setting back on.

As far as bookmarks go, Click on the following icon on the top right bar to display your bookmarks (there are none set in the following snapshot):

Bookmarks

Hope this helps.

It does work, thx for the tip.

That darn viewcube is so hard to see on models from 2014 that had sky set to none.

The 2015 interface hurts more every time I use it, so slow on larger models.

We know about the issue with the delay in UI performance and are working on it right now. Just to let you know that this is a priority on our list.

Thanks for letting me know its being looked at.

The speed is, unfortunately, not enough to make me want to use 2015.

I have been recently going back and forth between 2015 and 2014, and my opinion is the new interface should be scrapped completely.

I know that is a strong statement, but Autodesk is fighting right now to get people to use IW, and it just pushed acad through the ribbon the last few years.

To see it then revert to a minimalist UI that confuses an experienced user, makes no sense at all.

You do not have an interface redesign problem, you have an adoption problem.

What you should be focusing on is making IW as easy to use as navisworks for importing stuff, including basic 2d, "infinitely thin", linework.

You also need to improve on the process of placing 3d objects based on blocks in acad.

Finally, you need some kind of painting system that allows coloring of surfaces as they exist assembled in IW.

If you take a gaming engine like Unity, and the import abilities of navisworks, you have enough good ideas to keep you busy.

Wasting time on this new UI has been the biggest double whammy for IW, though I doubt Autodesk has any customer use measuring system in place, so will never realize how it is setting things back. Put the ribbon back and be done with all this.
