coverage areas

Hi, I am working with a rather large model (75 gb) and everything works great except when I try to bring in coverage areas. I am currently trying to bring in parcels and hca info as shapefiles and Infraworks needs to reload the entire model when I do this which can take upwards of 30 min. Is there a faster way to bring in polygons? Do I have to convert to something other than a shapefile?

I would try SDF files.

Coverages affect the terrain in InfraWorks, and that is re-rendered when you import one. Could take a while for large models and large import files.

Potentially your coverages contains geometries with very complex boundaries and tons of vertices (just a guess). This could be cleaned up in AutoCad Map for example.
