Collaborate Infraworks Model

Hi..

Me and my team working on a city model. Is it possible to work on one model for several people without working on cloud service?

Then could we synchronize our update model?

if we work in different model then import the imx model, all of buildings became one element so its not flexible to edit.

Hope there is any solution without using cloud design group.

If we can make one model be center model like how works in revit, it would be so helpful. Hope next version will have this feature.

Thanks

Hi NR Damayanti,

I am not certain this will accomplish all of your request, but the newest release of InfraWorks 360 2015 (version 2015.3) came out today, and allows for users to save and share local models on a mapped network drive.

You can check out this video for more information on how to do this: http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/2015/ENU/?guid=GUID-E4A903A3-8C8D-4E70-A129-5E27830CCB33

And, check out all of What's New For InfraWorks 360 (December 2014 release): http://help.autodesk.com/view/INFMDR/2015/ENU/?guid=GUID-5CD0E45F-B2F7-4A96-8A4B-C37110FD81A1

Thanks!

Thanks Elliot for your reply..

I watched the video. It seems that one infraworks model can't open at the same time to be edited for multiple users. Its means we have to wait another user to finish their work then we can continue edit our model. Correct me if I'm wrong..

And where I can find the latest release so I can update my Infraworks?

Warm Regards

NR Damayanti

If you have InfraWorks 360, look in your Autodesk Application Manager for the update. Don't think the update will apply to InfraWorks.

Hi,

you are correct - only one instance of the project/model can be opened at the same time. InfraWorks 2015.3 will lock the model to be opened a second time at the same time.

Regards,
Karsten.
