Create a Left Turn Lane in InfraWorks 360

First, the median section

1. Copy a road style and turn off Symmetry (you'll see how in the video)
2. After that you'll need to copy the right side of the road to the left
3. Use the Median track to create a thin strip of median material (I used 0.4m)
4. Use the Right track to create a strip of median that is as wide as a lane (I used 3m)
5. Apply your new style to a new style zone in your road - now you have your median leading up to the turn lane, or you have the style for your entire road if it is indeed a divided road.

Now for that turn lane section:

1. Copy the new style you just created and remove the wide portion of the median (leaving the 0.4m)
2. Create another style zone right after your first one and apply your latest style from there, to the end of the road
3. Create a lane zone and change the number of lanes to 2 in roughly the same area that your second style zone occupies. Yoy may need to tweak it a bit to get it just right.

That's it!  Turn lane! And you can easily adjust the length of the median and the length of the storage area using the gizmos for the lane and style zones.  Confused? Watch the video.

Thanks for the info.  That sure is a lot of steps for something that is extremely common.  Hopefully Autodesk simplifies these types of things in future releases.

how about Ingress Turn lanes?
