it be great if future releases of MapGuide exposed an API object model for
creating mwf files on the server? This should be out of the box functionality.
Intergraph does this very successfully with WebMap. They provide programmatic
access on the server side by exposing all the methods, properties and objects
used to create maps. This gives you tons of options including on the fly
flexibility to create maps tailored to the viewer. By doing this you can react
to user input and generate dynamic maps...not static authored
maps.
1. It is greatful if mapguide can provide us better interface like esri does in their arcgis server version 10. They make full use of the flash technology and give the user interactive and friendly view.
2. My company involve in data interoperabillity project and most of the data that we use now is in multiple format like .shp, .tab and .gdb. It is much better if autodesk mapguide can provide a interoperability module that read the style, scalling, colour etc in various software. This will improve out timeand eneggy to do all those thing which is consume a lot of time and concetration.
3. Connection to multiple format need an OGC standard and the standard that we use is OGR to connect to .TAB file. But we facing a problem when to print the map using printing module from mapguide. The symbol is not according to what we set in the mapguide. It id greatful if mapguide can provide flexible format for printing.
