Server does not support requested provider: autodesk.raster

Hello all

I've just started looking at MapGuide Studio 6.5 preview, but cannot import my UK Ordnance Survey raster images. I get the error:

Server does not support requested provider: autodesk.raster

I have tried raw, zipped, and LZW TIFFs, and also JPEGs.

Can anyone help me. I am a total beginner to Autodesk products.

Many thanks

Tom

Could you explain how you sorted it out, because I'm having the same problem

Thanks

Hi Jo

It transpires that MapGuide doesn't support raster import out of the box. You need to install a raster provider, which can be found here:

https://mapguide.osgeo.org/files/documents/12/76/Raster.zip

There's a readme in there which will tell you how to do it.

Hope this helps

Hi Tom,

Many thanks for your reply. I'd got that far- but the providers didn't seem to be working. It turns out that you have to follow the instructions exactly (shock horror) and stop the mapguide server before you add the providers. You can't just restart the server- for some reason it doesn't pick up the changes.

Cheers

I followed all the steps and all seemed to work. However, when I tried to open the layer i get a message saying 'Resource ID does not refer to a valid feature sources'.. thanks ahead of time.
