Requirments for configuring mapguide enterprise server

Pls help me

I just configured Map guide studio and server in my computer. And maps can be viewed in all computers online in our office.

I need help on this

1. now name is so lengthy; how can i reduce length
2. what are the requirement for publishing maps to internet [my friends saying that i have to have a public ip and all]

You might try to create a page of urls that redirect to specific maps so that users can remember smaller links.

As to publishing via the internet your machine does have to have a public IP address which usually means you have a machine outside your firewall which is exposed via a public ip address.
