The Image discovery in mapguide does it:
- Allow easy navigation of a hierarchical content tree structure.
- Automatically recognize pixel scaling and categorizing and captured as part of metadata
- Allow querying content metadata and provide the results to the end user.
- Allow displaying content as a list, thumbnails or in a map window showing content footprints.
- Be compatible with the Microsoft Open Dialogs so that any Microsoft Windows compliant application can navigate through the content tree without modification view (explorer view & geographical view) Compatible with current standard system with Eskom.
- Be able to generate grid from extents of images(mosaic capability)
- Automatic edge matching and colour balance
