Mixed Geometry Types

Hello Everyone:

I want to get a feel for how many of MapGuide Users deal with mixed geometry
types (e.g. points and lines, or polygons and plines, etc...) on your DWG
layers.

1.0 Do you use mixed geometry types on DWG layers?
a. Yes
b. No

1.1 How do you mix your geometry types?
a. I never have DWGs with mixed geometry types on any layer.

b. I occasionally have DWGs with mixed geometry types on some layers
c. I occasionally have DWGs with mixed geometry types on all layers

d. I sometimes have DWGs with mixed geometry types on some layers
e. I sometimes have DWGs with mixed geometry types on all layers

f. I often have DWGs with mixed geometry types on some layers
g. I often have DWGs with mixed geometry types on all layers

h. I always have DWGs with mixed geometry types on some layers
i. I always have DWGs with mixed geometry types on all layers

2.0 What are your attitudes/policies for mixing geometry type in your
mapping environment?

Hi Martin

This is very delayed, but here it is.

1. Yes, but I try to avoid it.
1.1 b
2. Only if it is absolutely necessary for something small and only need for a visual check.

3. Stated above. It would only be for something quick and easy and not my preference for a long term solution.
