liteview tiling engine for "slippy" maps

Now that users are familiar with the user interface of googlemaps, and the click and drag "slippy" map, has anyone developed a tiling engine that works with Liteview, or could suggest how one could go about creating one?

The new version of MapGuide, currently free and in Open Source at
www.osgeo.org uses the same AJAX technology as Google Maps where you can
configure the server to create tiles and they will background load on the
client. I doubt that you'll see this implemented in LiteView as it is
really a dead product.

Found something: the CivicMaps Tile Engine will work with LiteView quite nicely in WMS mode.

I woudn't say Mapguide Open Source is the "new version" - its a quite different technology but its clear that the old Mapguide line has ended.

I guess I call it the "new version" of MapGuide to distinguish it from the
"old version" (6.5 and below). It is rather confusing since they share the
same name but are completely different technologies. Given the major
stability problems I had with LiteView, I am very glad that this alternative
is emerging. Autodesk has said that they will continue to support the
existing 6.5 for a number of years, but there will be no more major releases
based on that technology.

BTW, the CivicMaps Tile Engine is a good find.
