In the past, I found that MapGuide would not recognize the fonts in the
share directory and I instead copied them to
/usr/local/mapguideopensource/server/bin (change the path for MapGuide
Enterprise). After restarting MapGuide, those fonts were then utilized when
rendering the map.

I would google the answer because different linux flavors may have different
directories and implementations. I saw one posting indicating
/usr/share/fonts. Microsoft fonts are a copywrited part of the OS so copying
them to Linux is not endorsed by Autodesk. If you have your own licensed
True Type fonts then copying them is not a concern.
