how to convert SHP to MGE2007

hello ,

I am having a drawing in autocad which have to convert to mapguide, in which 1 layer is having objects as line , point , polygon. have to export this files into shp but the problem is i have to select any1 of the options TEXT|POINT|LINE|POLYGON.
i have to use this layer with the same name.
is it possible to export all the objects into 1 shp file....i am using AUTOCAD MAP 2004. , MGE 2007.

I can't recall with MAP 2004 if you can export to SDF 3.0, that would probably allow all the features in one file. Exporting as SDF 2.1 might also work. You might want to download a trial of MAP 2007 or later version and export to SDF 3.0 instead. These questions might be better answered in the Map forum instead.
