We are experiencing issues trying to connect AIMS 2013 to a WMS via Studio. The WMS is served by an Oracle Mapviewer server in-house.
We are able to connect to the service but cannot display it in AutoCAD Map 3D 2013 or AIMS 2013. The WMS is perfectly displaying in ArcMap or QGIS though.
you can use tools like Fiddler to observe which requests are being sent by Map/AIMS to your wms server and which repsonse they get back. That will give you a better understanding what the message "failed to get bands data" really means. Maybe you can solve the issue by changing a configuration parameter,
