Hello,
I am having some difficulty displaying DWG data on my map, and I was
wondering if you folks in here could point me in the right direction. I was
able to bring the data over successfully, but I am having trouble stylizing
it. The data is a bunch of blocks with attributes. When I bring it over
into mapguide, it seems that I can stylize the points using the original
block definitions, but there seems to be two problems: first, the blocks get
defined in the mapguide symbol library with placeholders for the attributes.
Is there a way to display the original attribute value in this location or
turn off the placeholders? The dialog in Studio implies that this is
possible by offering a "Text Color" setting in the Point Style definition,
but it doesn't seem to do anything. I have tried using a Feature Label, but
the best I can do is place a label NEXT to the symbol, rather than in the
place of an attribute. The second problem is that there doesn't seem to be
a way to change the justification of the feature label. How is this done?
Is it possible to make "fancy" labels, where text appears inside of a
symbol. Thanks for any suggestions that you can offer.
