Copy Command-AIMS2012

Is there a script available that can help me create a copy command where the map area within the Basic Map Viewer is copied to the clipboard then the enduser can paste into any document, such as a Microsoft Word Document, for their purposes without having to print a map to PDF?

Thanks.

Web browsers do not provide clipboard API access. This is why we have image/PDF plotting for purposes of printing/copying.

Jackie:

If you're saying that this doesn't work, how come when I open up the Basic Site and in the Task Pane there is information as to the Infrastructure Map Viewer Command List that may be available:

Copy

Copies the current view of the map to the clipboard as a Windows Metafile.

If you're saying it's not available how come this is in the list?

It may be a leftover reference to the (deprecated) DWF eMap viewer, which is ActiveX based and most likely has clipboard access as a result.
