Hey did you ever work this one out? I'm having the same issue.
I've followed the template from the PrintLayout as Library://FolderName/04_Symbols/Logos.SymbolLibrary and tried with /imagename at the end too, and without it. Nothing seems to work.
I have a Symbol Library created with one JPG in it.
