6.5 on win 2000 server no go

I read some posts regarding this but I am now in a pinch. When I run the ?item = test I get:

Autodesk MapGuide Server could not be found.

The Agent is running. I saw a post to turn off Anonymous - but this is an applicaion on the internet and I need anonymous to be turned on. I also set the IUSR_machine name account to have full control on the mapagents folder. This did not work.

any suggestion?

In the web extensions section of IIS, did you set the mapagent(s) to
allowed? Is this by any chance a 64 bit machine?

Andy,

It is set to be Allowed - it is not a 64 bit machine.

Hi Scott and I hope you're doing well. I imagine that I'll see you at AU
again this year.

You may have some issues with DCOM settings on that machine. Here is one
post that may help:
http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4105321. Also try
searching the MapGuide groups for "DCOM" from the web interface and you will
find several more topics. I hope this helps.

If the two of you get together at AU, I would like to tag along if I make it
this year (which looks like a long shot at this time).

It was definitely DCOM on Windows 2003 Server. I added the IUSR_machine account to the MapGuide DCOM config and gave it permissions. That solved it.

Thanks for the help.

I like the idea of getting some of the MapGuide users together for a drink
or two at AU. There's a cool Irish pub in the New York New York hotel that
Gordon Luckett and his wife Andrea first turned me onto. Anyone else up for
it?

I have 3 classes this year, but alas, none of my lab proposals made the cut
this time.
