Memory Error

Anyone getting the "Impression is running low on memory and will now shut down" error? Seems like every time I start it, I get this message and it closes.

This can likely be resolved by upgrading your video driver.

Hi Rod, thanks for the reply. Yea, I tried that. I did a complete un-install, updated the video drivers (Nvidia just released new ones last week) and installed preview2. Still no go. I get the memory error during opening of any file, it won't even get the file opened all the way. Is it possible Impression just doesn't play nice with 64bit operating systems? I don't recall having this problem on my laptop, which is runing a normal 32bit operating system. Hopefully someone else will have an opinion on this, or has run into this. Anyway, thanks for the reply Rod. Appreciate your help.

Yes - we're not supporting 64bit Windows yet. Sorry about that.

My Impression gets those messages & it seems to make very big files' 3 to 4 mb?
I have trouble printing the files also.

Well, I'm having the same memory error message issues on my 32-bit XP system as well. Anyone got a solid solution for the group of us usingthe 32-bit windows with this problem?

I also get a memory issue and it closes...wish if it would do this it would save a recover file like autocad does..otherwise all my work is lost. is there a reason or fix yet for this... gets kinda annoying.

I have the 64 bit radon card that is on the list of requirements and I still get the error that the card memory is too small to operate Impression.

Ah, not supporting 64 bit. This explains failure to launch. I have 64 bit Windows XP Professional. You'd think the 'system requirements tester' would have picked that up.

We just posted Impression Technology Preview 4 this morning:
http://labs.autodesk.com/Impressionlanding.html

This version has some improvements that should reduce the out of memory conditions.

We also save a recovery file if we need to close due to low memory conditions.
