Rod,
Thanks for the quick reply. My situation is that I am attempting to install
Impressions on the client computer, (the one I am sitting at), and not using
Remote Desktop at the same time. What is happening is that the install
stops with an installer information screen and the aborts. This occurs at a
time when the installer is apparently trying to install the DirectX runtime
library. I ran the system test tool and it gave me an OK for Impressions. I
have attached (I think) the screenshot of the Windows installer window that
occurs.
I also installed it on my home computer where it has installed fine.
Thanks,

Hi Bob:
The basic issue is the when you are connected to a computer with Remote
Desktop, you cannot run (on the remote computer) a program that requires
DirectX. This is a limitation we get from Microsoft.
For Impression this means that you can't run it via Remote Desktop _and_ you
can't install it via Remote Desktop. During the install, we run DirectX to
check that your system meets our requirements. The test will fail because
DirectX can't start and so the install will fail.
To successfully install and run Impression, you either need to be in front
of the machine and not connected via Remote Desktop, or use the VNC product
that I mentioned.
Let us know how it goes...
