I'm using the Trial Version, trying to decide whether we buy this or not. I
am using it with ADT 2006, using Project Navigator. My Elevations are drawn
in a View file, then referenced into a Sheet file.
Elevations are colored in ADT. Solid hatch patterns.
I bring the Sheet file into Impression. Looks good.
I apply styles to the layers. Colors turn nice, lines look stylized. Looks
great.
I change something in ADT. Time to Update CAD Geometry... Looks like poo.
Everything reverts back to the way they looked *before*, when I first
brought the sheet in. All my style changes are gone.
This feature is the *major* reason that we would buy this product, and it
doesn't seem to work.
My guess is that the reference from the View to the Sheet makes Impression
think that all objects are new, thus it reverts all. I'd imagine that if I
referenced straight from the View that they may stick. However, this is
counter intuitive to the file managment methods that Autodesk has been
promoting with ADT, and is a potential source of great confusion.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
John Colby
