Block Substitution Moving Original Blocks

Hi,

I'm using impression 2.

When I substitute tree blocks for circulars block created in my autocad DWG file, the substitution goes fine, but the blocks are generated off of the document page. Sometimes the position of the blocks relative to each other is fine, other times the positioning is totally off. Any ideas?

Thanks.

can you take a look at the block in Autocad and see where the origin is? moving it to align with the center of the block might help.

thanks,
shana

When creating a block in AutoCAD make sure to "pick point" for your block when you are in the
"block definition" dialog box otherwise when importing into Impressions it will recognize the point to place your blocks on the page, therefore defaulting it to 0,0.

Tree Example:
In AutoCAD type block and pick centre point of your Tree (circle) and then select object and name block.
This will allow the block to be placed in the correct position in impressions.
