Please consider adding the DWG extension to the New Design from the File list of file types. The only way I have otherwise have found to convert my DWG designs into fusion 360 native design file is through the upload in the Data panel itself in Fusion. Otherwise, if I upload a DWG anywhere else, it remains a DWG.
