Keep sketch open

Keep sketch open

I would like an option to keep a sketch open/active until turned off. I draw a sketch which accommodates all sorts of features and it gets turned off after the first action, then I have to go through the tree and turn it back on to continue. This is annoying. Please add a checkbox to keep sketch active.

we like the spirit of what your asking for here and agree that our current implementation can be sub-opitmal.  We've added this to our backlog (backlog reference FUS-24731).  We can't make any commitments to time frame when this will get implemented or that it will be implemented exactly as you've proposed, but we will look for a solution that handles these types of scenarios more gracefully than we currently do.

best,

Jamie

Yes Please!

This is a constant annoyance in a typical model. The power of Fusion is that you can create multiple bodies or components from one sketch but this makes it a pain!

Am I missing something?

Actually yes, if you finish a feature the sketch gets hidden.

But for the (few?) cases where you really need a sketch many times you can simply turn it on again manually.

After reenabling it it will stay visible even if you complete further features on it.

(I am not at my desktop right now so I can't verify that. But this is how I remember it)

Uncheck "Preferences -> Design -> Auto hide sketch on feature creation" and sketches do stay visable after feature creation. Not perfect but works for me better.
