Group Elements in Timeline - Rethink DTL

Group Elements in Timeline - Rethink DTL

I there,

The design time line started as a cool idea but I think morphed into a not so easy to use tool.

The play function is problematic because based on what you did in each step not all step results

are shown correctly (often parts are hidden).

In addition simple comands already populate the timeline too much.

This what do you think about the ability to have a per product timeline or grouping timeline entries so you can see more unites you worked on and not all the tools you used in the design.

As you can see in the image the timeline has already six commands listed for something so basic.

Today I tested Fusion on another furniture project and too quickly did the workflow in Fusion became a drag to me compared to my other design tools.

Less useful position and rotation commands are one big part as well as insufficient snapping abilities

but that was repoorted already as improvement ideas.

The translation tool for example as to onclude snapping and remain rotation values and if possible tell me where the product was placed.

I'm surprised more people aren't asking for this. Especially for re-instancing similar parts, being able to hide away all the boring stuff and leave the steps I'd like to manipulate in the future more visible (or highlighted even) would be fantastic.

I've made a number of improvements to the timeline where you're able to group features as well as better visual display of how features are related to their components.

Today you have the ability to group items in the timeline into various groups to be better organized.
